This season’s championship goes to DreamTeam FC as they beat the Cobras by a score of 4-2. Both teams started off playing the game very defensively and neither were looking to concede the first goal. Finally, on a breakaway, Dean Spyropoulos of the DreamTeam FC opened the score on a beautiful shot from the corner. He followed that up with another 2 goals in the 2nd half to make it 3-0. DreamTeam FC were cruising to a comfortable win but a late surge from the Cobras, with both goals being scored by Kevin Magdaleno, saw the Cobras come right back into this game with a score of 3-2 with under 7 minutes remaining. Romeo Floyd added the insurance goal for DreamTeam FC as they held the game down defensively for the remaining minutes.
Fittingly, the final delivered many of the same twists and turns, riveting moments, individual superlatives and wonderful soccer. Congratulations to both teams for a hard fought season and playoffs!
